The session will cover the background to the Quality Framework, explore the benefits of it for your local Healthwatch, cover learning from those already using it and discuss the support available for you to complete your own Quality Framework self-assessment.

Working together: The Care Quality Commission and Healthwatch

This workshop will explore collaboration working between the CQC and local Healthwatch with speaker, Ian Trenholm, Chief Executive of the Care Quality Commission. Aim of the session: CQC has delivered a number of regional engagement pilot projects with Healthwatch in response to reflections from local Healthwatch that it would be good to work in this way. It is understood that the network has the expertise and relationships in their local area to engage people locally and to gather rich and robust insight, particularly from those whose voices are seldom heard.

This session will reflect on those pilots and look ahead to future opportunities to work in this way with the CQC, a key partner organisation for the Healthwatch Network.

Note for attendees: please note that this session will only be half an hour, not the full hour, and will be from midday to 12.30pm

Who is this session for? Healthwatch leaders, engagement leads and staff involved in new business leads
