“I go to the meetings, how do I tell people what I’ve done” – Identifying and articulating the impact of influencing through boards, committees and groups

This session will discuss how your stakeholder influencing can be linked to change. Often a series of small interventions over time, or commitment to attend particular forums can lead to significant decisions benefiting the public. But often these decisions are taken behind closed doors and Healthwatch may not be publicly named as being fundamental to the changes. How do we get better at pinpointing what we’ve achieved? What language can we use to promote our involvement to people, in funding bids and conversations with commissioners? How can a Theory of Change approach be used to enhance our influencing work?'
