Agenda

This year’s PRI in Person & Online headline theme is the Coming of Age of Responsible Investment.

Responsible investment has moved from specialist to mainstream concern. As ESG strategies become more widespread and increasingly sophisticated, this extra maturity inevitably brings added scrutiny and a greater responsibility on investors to match their claims and aspirations with substantive, verifiable, real world, positive outcomes.

If the industry does not evolve accordingly then accusations of greenwashing, box ticking, and ESG as a tokenistic public relations exercise will become louder and more frequent, undermining the great strides the sector has made globally during the past decade.

Over three days, across more than 40 content-driven sessions and networking events, speakers and delegates at PRI in Person & Online will come together to consider these changing expectations on investors and the evolutions the industry needs in order to meet them.

The main themes the conference will consider, include:
  • Net zero implementation – where are we and where do we need to go?
  • The power of purpose – understanding key priority areas for investor action
  • Combatting greenwashing – insights from regulators and civil society on their expectations of the investment industry
  • Rethinking how investors can and should address social problems
  • How public policy, regulatory change and international & regional standard-setting initiatives are impacting investment practice

In addition, talks, panels, workshops and collaborative meetings will consider a variety of essential, investor-focussed issues, including:

The future of ESG ratings; the limits of a financial materiality approach to ESG data; active ownership 2.0: reinvigorating stewardship practice; sector analysis of key human rights risks; the role of index providers in achieving sustainable markets; asset allocation, expected returns and sustainability; responsible political engagement; divestment and engagement to align with climate commitments; developing asset owner collaborations; an overview of key ESG trends; and much more.

All in-person attendees will receive access to:
  • Four main plenary sessions
  • 30+ breakout sessions, panels and workshops
  • Networking reception on 30 November
  • The PRI in Person & Online digital platform before, during, and after the conference

A full, in-person agenda for the three days of PRI in Person & Online will be published in mid-June, after the exclusive PRI signatory-only booking period ends.

Please note, in-person tickets are on a first-come, first served basis. We expect another sell out conference so encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.

The agenda for digital attendees will be published when the Digital Delegate registration is opened in early July. This agenda will include live access to all four plenaries, as well as real-time access to a curated selection of breakout sessions, and post-event access to recordings of all open conference sessions.
