The PRI Academic Network Conference brings together the latest high-quality evidence and insights in responsible investment practices in an accessible way; bridging the gap between academic researchers and professional investors.  
 
Hosted as part of PRI in Person & Online, the event offers a unique opportunity for academics and investors to engage with each other, learn, and discuss their latest research and experiences.  
 
The conference represents an integral part of the PRI’s longstanding effort to foster research and forge links between academic and investor communities, fomenting a virtuous circle where the latest ESG research can inform the latest practice, and on-the-ground professional experience of implementing ESG principles can inform the research work of the academic community.  
 
Presenters will come from all over the world and cover a range of responsible investment topics, including climate risk disclosure, ESG best practice across asset classes, and shareholder activism.  

The Academic Network Conference runs for three sessions on Thursday 1 December: 

Session 1 
11:45 – 13:00 
PRI Awards for Outstanding Research 
The winners will present their research findings related to socially responsible divestment and physical climate risk and adaptation. 

Session 2 
14:30 – 15:45 
Shareholder Engagement: What do we really know about it and what should we study next? 
What have we learned in a decade of academic research on stewardship and shareholder engagement? 

Session 3 
16:30 – 17:45 
Climate Finance Research and Implications 
We will discuss the latest climate finance findings and their implications for investment professionals.
