Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is at the heart of the PRI's values.

We acknowledge that our annual event has the potential to impact the environment and, as such, we have a duty to be proactive in mitigating any such impacts. We want to ensure we are measuring our success in implementing a sustainable event and commit to regularly reviewing our progress, which is why, at our most recent PRI in Person in Paris in 2019, we had:

2,272

Tonnes of carbon emissions offset, thanks to our carbon offsetting partner Allianz Global Investors. Please click here to view the certificate.

  1,067

Plastic bottles saved from use by introducing water fountains, in collaboration with Robeco.

In 2022, we will undertake a number of measures to minimise the negative environmental and social impacts of the conference, including:

Paper-free

PRI in Person & Online 2022 will once again be ‘paper-free’ wherever possible to reduce our impact on the environment. As such, exhibitors will be discouraged from providing paper handouts.

  Recyclable materials

We will be using reusable or recyclable stand structures, carpet and furniture.  The lanyards, badges, conference pens and bags provided to delegates are sourced from recycled, sustainable materials.
