The theme of this year’s conference is:
Shaping our future together and growing a sustainable private security industry fit for the next decade.
Building on the success of last year, we are bringing together expert speakers, workshops and panel discussions with an opportunity for you to challenge and ask questions to the industry leaders.
The conference will include updates from our Chair, Elizabeth France
, and the opportunity to meet our Chief Executive, Ian Todd
, who joined us in February. You will hear about our ambitions to work with the industry and other experts to help create the structures needed to support the professional development of individuals within the private security industry.
We are delighted to announce our key note speaker is Craig Robb, Chief Commercial Officer, Securitas UK
. He will be delivering a personal view on how security is transforming from traditional guarding and product offerings. Craig will also talk about how investment in new technologies will change the security officer role in the future.
We will delivering three workshops on the themes below. We invite you to choose one workshop to participate in on the day and value your input in helping us shape the future of the security industry.
Workshop A: Exploring our priorities
This is an opportunity for you to express your opinion on the importance of our priorities and whether these fit well with the priorities of our partners.
Workshop B: Themes for effective regulation
Effective regulation should be about more than prosecuting offenders – although this is an important function of a regulator. How can industry and partners work to create an environment that is conducive to good quality security? How do we make sure that good companies win contracts and bad ones do not?
Workshop C: Future development of the private security industry
This is an opportunity for participants to engage in some informed speculation about how the industry and the environment in which it operates, may change.
During the day there will be an opportunity for you to put questions to a panel of our experts. We are inviting you to submit your questions in advance based on the themes below:
