We’re proud to be joined by an impressive host of speakers this year.

Kicking things off, we have Ben Page, Chief Executive of Ipsos Mori, highlighting the importance of utilising data to help improve health and social care services. Joining him is Fatima Khan-Shah, Programme Director at West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership and campaigner Jeremy Harris, who will talk about ensuring services listen to the voices of patients and carers.

On day two Joan Saddler OBE, Director of Partnerships and Equality at NHS Confederation, will be chairing our keynote on tackling health inequalities. She will be talking to two experts in this field – Dr Bola Owolabi, Director of Health Inequalities at NHS England and NHS Improvement and Marie Gabriel CBE – Chair of the NHS Race and Health Observatory.

Historian and broadcaster Professor David Olusoga will also join us in the afternoon to discuss the role of Black and Asian communities in the development and delivery of the NHS and why it’s crucial to have often hidden voices in leadership roles – not one to be missed.

On Thursday, get together with local Healthwatch commissioners and Integrated Care System leads for our session – Understanding our role in the new NHS landscape. Join Professor Sir Liam Donaldson, Millie Banerjee CBE, Independent Chair at South West London Health and Care Partnership and two local Healthwatch leaders to hear their thoughts on how we can put people’s voices at the heart of new structures in the NHS.

And to round off the week, we’re talking all things public health. Professor Ivan Browne, Deputy Director in Public Health at Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group and Alice Wiseman, Director of Public Health at Gateshead City Council, will be joined by the inspirational Rosamund Kissi Debrah, a grassroots campaigner who has raised awareness of the health problems that can be caused by air pollution, following the death of her daughter.
