An academic study of Healthwatch in action

Join researchers from King’s College London to hear the findings and implications of their 30-month study of local Healthwatch with the University of Cambridge.

Supporting volunteers in the new health and social care landscape

The major upcoming opportunity and challenge for Healthwatch is to ensure that we are ready for the new Integrated Care Systems (ICS). This includes all staff, board members and volunteers being ‘ICS ready’. In this session we will explore what this will mean for those of you who support volunteers and the role of your volunteers in an ICS.

You will also hear insights and lessons learnt from the NHS Volunteers Responder programme.

What will you gain from attending? You will gain an understand of the development of the Integrated Care System and the opportunities this may bring to your volunteers and what this may mean for volunteering management.

Who is this session for? All Healthwatch staff with a role managing volunteers and Healthwatch volunteers.

The Health and Social Care landscape is changing. New legislation set to come in from April next year will shift power to the new Integrated Care Systems (ICS). But what will this mean in practice?
