Travelling to the SEC, Glasgow
By Road: Glasgow is linked to Edinburgh by the M8 and England via the M74. The M80 connects Stirling to Glasgow, while the M77 connects Glasgow to the west coast of Scotland. There is a paid multi-storey car park near the SEC – more information can be found at https://www.sec.co.uk/visitor-information/how-to-get-here/car-parking.
By Air: Glasgow is served by three international airports (Glasgow Airport, Glasgow Prestwick Airport and Edinburgh Airport), with connections across the world. There are over 45 flights to/from London a day, and 7 flights per day to/from Birmingham. Regular flights also run to/from Exeter, Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton, Manchester, East Midlands, and Belfast. The SEC is a 15-minute drive from Glasgow Airport.
By Train: There are more than 20 direct trains per day to/from London, and around 9 per day to/from Manchester. Direct trains to/from Edinburgh run every 15 minutes on weekdays. Once in the city centre, the SEC is a three-minute train ride from the main train station, Glasgow Central. The SEC has its own dedicated railway station “Exhibition Centre” allowing easy access from the city centre and suburbs. There are six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) to/from Glasgow Central station.
