Chris Phillips GCGI, FSyl, FCIISCM

Chris is the founder and Managing Director of the International Protect and Prepare Security Office. He has provided consulting advice and support to many blue-chip companies, including Aon Crisis Consulting, Marks and Spencer, 3M, Sodexo, CallCredit Information Group, Honda UK and Regester Larkin. He has also represented the UK government in a number of countries as a Counter Terrorism expert and has developed courses for the private sector related to terrorism issues.

Chris is also widely acknowledged as an expert in Counter Terrorism and Security on National and World media. In 2016 he made more than 500 Television and Radio interviews. He is widely respected nationally and internationally within law enforcement, Government and business.

His deep experience of risk and crisis management originates with over 30 years working as a senior police officer in the areas of Counter Terrorism (CT) strategy, protective security, CT training, risk assessment and quality assurance.
Chris specialises in strategic Counter Terrorism advice and best practice. As Head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office he had three major responsibilities within the United Kingdom:
• The protection of Crowded Places within the UK.
• Protecting hazardous sites and dangerous substances.
• Supporting the CPNI to Protect the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure.

He was responsible for training, accrediting, tasking and co-ordinating over 275 Police Counter Terrorism Security Advisers across the UK. Chris is a Graduate of the City and Guilds, a fellow of the Security Institute (SyI) and a fellow of the Chartered International Institute of Security and Crisis Management (CiiSCM).
