Welcome to the Government Cyber Security Conference 2023
This year, our annual Government Cyber Security Conference will focus on "Building a Cyber Community for Government" It will be held on Thursday 7th December at the QEII Centre, Westminster, London. Register with us to join us in person or online.
Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to be hosting this year's Government Cyber Security Conference, taking place on the 7th December 2023 at the QEII Centre, London.
This year, we are focusing on an important topic: "Building a Cyber Community for Government". We have already made great progress in creating a strong sense of community across the government cyber security profession, but we have much more to do to ensure that this community is inclusive, supportive of your needs at departmental level and can collaborate effectively together to defend as one. This event will give us the opportunity to reflect on our successes, share knowledge, deepen our understanding of shared challenges and collaborate on response. This year we will also be welcoming colleagues from the digital, data and technology community, from the wider policy profession and from our Government Cyber Advisory Board.
We have put together a fantastic agenda including a range of keynote speakers, panel discussions and breakout sessions, which will run throughout the afternoon. We will also be hosting deep dives into topics including:
- Implementation of the Government Cyber Security Strategy two years from its launch
- Lessons to date from the new Government Cyber Coordination Centre (GC3)
- The new Secure by Design framework for government
- Cyber assurance following the launch of GovAssure
- Cyber skills
- Supply chain security
The conference will be held in person and also virtually.
I do hope you are able to join us and I look forward to welcoming you on the day.
Bella Powell
Director, Cyber Security
